Cool Possum™ is the brainchild of Michael Britt.
The name came about when he was sitting on his back porch in rural
North Carolina trying to think of a name for a new Record Label. He
spied a family of opossums in a nearby dogwood tree sleeping the
afternoon away. It was a mother and several young, all hanging
upside down from the branch in a little row. He thought, "Wow! What
cool possums!" And the name stuck.
The Opossum, while being called a "mobile speed-bump" among other things, is actually quite a remarkable animal. It has been around since the dawn of time and has withstood ice ages and the destruction of the Dinosaur by adapting to it's environment. By adapting to the changing times in our modern world, we hope to be as successful as the 'ole 'Possum by adjusting to the current market while maintaining a strong connection to trusted and time-tested processes and technologies.
